The bridge is a great photo opportunity. When the water level is low, you can walk over the weir dam. A picnic on the banks of the Elbe is also recommended.

The bridge at the waterfall is a pedestrian and cycle path bridge over the Alte Elbe in Magdeburg. It connects the eastern district of Cracau with the western Rotehornpark, which is located on the Elbe island of Großer Werder. The structure is located about 70 m below the Cracau weir, which is also called the Cracau waterfall. After about a year of construction, the pedestrian and cycle path bridge was opened to traffic on December 1, 1997.The 232.5 m long bridge consists of a western, 37.5 m long approach bridge made of reinforced concrete and a 195 m long cable-stayed bridge with main girders made of glued wood.
