The sand pond is one of many ponds in which the Fürstlich Drehna estate operated pond farming from 1750 onwards. Today it is used by the Fürstlich Drehna ecological pond management.
Swans and ducks can almost always be seen on the water here. With a bit of luck, the osprey or sea eagle might be hunting.translated by
