Tips
Ocriculum was a Roman municipality of Regio VI, one of the eleven regions in which the emperor Augustus had divided Italy in the first century. It was located along the banks of the Tiber river in the province of Terni. The city was destroyed between 569 and 605 AD, during the Lombard invasion. The archaeological area today is located near the town of Otricoli.
