Descending into Gayle can be a rapid affair! Brakes aren't essential for the brave. There is a little hump just after you start the steep downhill which can get you airborne if unprepared. Try to squash it! Lower down, as the steepness diminishes, the road narrows as it threads between some properties. Keep a good eye out for oncoming traffic (not that there is much, but it only takes one!). You won't be able to enjoy the views on the way down ;-)
