Rising approximately 125 meters above sea level, the Torre del Gerro is a true highlight of the Dénia coastline – an old 16th-century watchtower that once formed part of the defenses against pirates. Its distinctive, jug-shaped form – hence the name "Gerro" – and the historic coat of arms on its facade make it an impressive testament to bygone eras. The tower can be reached via the coastal path from Las Rotas, which winds picturesquely along the sea and is ideal for cycling.
