The Solarberg can be driven on or conquered on foot. The solar mountain on Vacher Straße near Atzenhof is an artificially created mountain with a height of 348 m above sea level (approx. 57 m in altitude). It was the garbage dump for Fürth, which is why it used to be colloquially called "garbage mountain" or "rubbish mountain". In the vernacular, he was also jokingly called "Monte Scherbelino" or "Tell Schutt". Before that there was a deep and extensive pit from which sand was extracted. The rubble mountain has an area of 11 hectares, in which 2.5 million cubic meters of rubbish are said to be slumbering.
