The Largo da Feira windmill, which was repurchased by the municipality of Castro Verde in 2003, has returned to operation after more than 60 years of inactivity. With a resident miller, it is intended to be a living part of the museum concept being developed by the municipality. Tours are available whenever the mill is in operation.

Hiking
Alentejo region is almost 1/3 of Portugal area with just 5% of portuguese population. All this fields produced cereals and the famous local bread. Windmills were an important part of this economy. This one is still in operation.
