Bike Touring Highlight (Segment)
Asphalted bike and walking path on the south bank of the beautiful Lake Baldeney. Various water bird species can be observed on the lake. On the north bank you can see the Villa Hügel and - opposite the historical Haus Scheppen - the winding tower of the disused Karl Funke colliery. The “Hespertalbahn” museum railway runs between Haus Scheppen and the western end of Lake Baldeney.

Nice track, good asphalt, to the right (or left) always the lake. A gem of rest and beautiful, relaxed driving. However, I can only give you a hint here: If the weather is nice, is a holiday and you drive here for lunch, for example, then here is just hell going on. Thousands of motorcycles, cars battling for parking lots, clogging the roads. In that sense, it is best to drive the route early in the morning or in the evening - and preferably not when the whole world wants to enjoy this beautiful spot.

An MTB highlight is not really this route, but you drive it more often to get from "green" to "green".
