The evangelical church in Reelkirchen must have been built in the 10th century. It developed into one of the most important village churches in the 13th century, which was first mentioned in 1231 as the "Papal Church". The churchyard is partially surrounded by a quarry stone wall. There are some tombstones from the 17th to early 19th centuries. The people of Reelkirchen are particularly proud of the 1000-year-old lime tree in the churchyard.
