Until the end of the 18th century, this farm with its extensive fields and forests was in the possession of the nunnery of Kabbeek in Tienen. Around 1742, according to her map book, the monastery owned 11 bundles of forest (14 ha 50a), which only became cultivated land in the second half of that century with a farm on it. This farm was run by a tenant, who initially received help from resident brothers. Jan Baptist Schollen became the first private owner at the beginning of the 19th century.
