Tips
Here in the west of Okriftel lies the quarry lake, with a lovely circular path leading around it. The freely accessible lake is leased to the Hattersheim fishing club. Swimming is prohibited due to the strong and very cold undercurrents. Unfortunately, people have already drowned here because of this. The lake is part of the Lower Mainauen nature reserve.
