In a major fire in 1699, which killed a large part of the village, the Gothic church was also largely destroyed. In 1708 the new church was consecrated, which was then continually expanded and decorated. Beautiful ceiling fresco from 1755. At least a brief visit is worthwhile.

stvitus.de:
Our Gothic parish church was largely destroyed by a devastating fire in 1699. The plans for the Baroque reconstruction by the Wessobrunn Monastery probably came from Caspar Feichtmayr. This assumption is based above all on the typical village-side outer wall structure with plaster strips with set arcades and the richly decorated octagonal tower attachment.
Caspar Feichtmayr is one of the most important Wessobrunner builders and plasterers of the second half of the 17th century. Many sacred buildings in the near and far surroundings bear his architectural and artistic signature. The Iffeldorf church tower should not only be given special attention because of its well-proportioned shape and rarely beautiful structure.
During restoration work, the inscription "us to use - the holy Veth zu G’falln" carved into the tuff was rediscovered under various layers of plaster, as well as the original plastic clock numbers. In the upper left and right corner of the square clock, the time of creation "17 - 49" can be seen.
