It is an old atonement cross on the Brunngraben Trail. According to legend, a bricklayer was killed there on the way from Litzendorf to Geisfeld. On the back there are three (bullet) holes and the inscription HSTOO. Unfortunately (at least to me) I don't know what this abbreviation means.
