Hiking
Brande station was opened along with the Give-Herning section on 1 January 1914. On October 1, 1914, the state took over the private railway Vejle-Give. This completed the Vejle-Holstebro line, since the Herning-Holstebro section had already been inaugurated on October 11, 1904.
At the same time, work was being done on the other Jutland diagonal line: the Langå Bramming line. The railway (Laurbjerg-Silkeborg) was inaugurated on November 12, 1908, and from the south the section from Bramming to Brande was inaugurated on December 1, 1917.
The most difficult route, Brande-Funder, was inaugurated on October 1, 1920.
