Tips

  • Sebastian Kowalke

The Frauenkopf is the side peak of the Schobers. In contrast to the main summit, the Frauenkopf is a completely bare rocky dome. Without trees or plants that could block the view, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Mondsee and Fuschlsee lakes.

  • A beautiful round hike: Forsthaus Wartenfels, (924), Schober (1328), Schober hut, Frauenkopf (1303), and back to the parking lot. When wet, it could be dangerous. See note below: "HEAVY" only for experienced people!

  • Great view of the Fuschl and Wolfgangsee. Sturdy shoes, sure-footedness and absolutely no heights

  • In contrast to the Schober, the Fuschlsee can be seen completely.
By the way, there is a bench at the summit.

  • Great tour. But upstairs huge steps. With Bergstogen but went great

  • Not too long but crisp climb to the Schober summit. Great view. Descent over the woman's head. A wonderful tour. Fitness and a head for heights are in demand here and good footwear. There are a few exposed spots that are well secured with ropes.

  • I advise against the descent over the Frauenkopf because of the very bad path. Lots of loose rock and rubble.

  • Wonderful summit, especially in combination with the Schober. It is best to come from the castle ruins on the Schober and then the Frauenkogel, then you can go up the more technical passages on the Schober.

  • Nice viewing summit! It is definitely worth investing the good 10 minutes to go over to the barn! From there you could descend to the ruins of Wartenfells, so you would have a nice round trip

  • Very nice view of the entire Fuschlsee and parts of the Attersee, Mondsee and Wolfgangsee.
