Former Criesbach wine press, originally built around 1700 and renovated in 1979/80. In front of it is a fountain worth seeing with a figure carrying vines on a wine barrel.

Around 1790 there were about 330 inhabitants in Criesbach. Their main source of food was viticulture. In addition, most of the residents tried to grow their own bread grain themselves. At the end of the 18th century, about 36 percent of the area used for agriculture was divided into vineyards, 52 percent arable land and 10 percent meadows. At the same time, 49 winegrowers, 14 farmers and a few craftsmen lived in the village.
A wine press, in which initially the Hohenlohe estate and above all the Amorbach monastery were involved, has been attested since the middle of the 14th century. On the district boundary to Niedernhall, to the left of the Kocher, there was already a salt works operated on behalf of the Count of Hohenlohe in the 16th century. Around 1604 it was moved to the right bank of the river, but was discontinued due to lack of profitability and used as a nursery for a short time. The buildings were demolished in 1722.
