Hiking
The academy has a long history, dating back to 1944,
when it was founded as a private drawing and painting school.
Since 1972, it has been an independent institution with state and municipal funding.
The Funen Art Academy is located in a historic building
at Jernbanegade 13, which formerly housed the Funen Art Museum.
The academy places a strong focus on the diverse practices and theories
of contemporary art and offers non-media-specific training.
