The island of Caprera is protected and is connected to La Maddalena by a road. I really enjoyed the hike from the parking lot to the Garibaldi Museum and on to the beautiful Cala Napolitana on an easy-to-walk footpath. A cooling bath and back is my recommendation. So don't forget your bathing suit, it's good to cool down. The footpath is signposted. I had the impression that there were quite a few information boards on the island of Carrera. Usually in English and Italian.
