This section of the trail is part of the circular pilgrimage route Via Porphyria (via-porphyria.de/pilgerweg/) and the Way of St. James Via Imperii from Stettin to Hof (jakobswege-europa.de/wege via-imperii.htm). Locals have made a lot of effort here to loosen up the path with artistic decoration and signs (according to the distance board, it is 2512km to Santiago de Compostela).
