In recent years, the city of Siegburg has converted the former railway line into a pedestrian and cycle path with funding from the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. The popular path connection now leads from Michaelsberg through the middle of the city to the Steinbahn. From there it goes on forest paths that have been "upgraded" for bicycle traffic to Lohmar.
