On the course of the Heimbach, not far from the Leyenweiher on the southern edge of the Wahner Heide, stands the ruin of the Wellkeller. It was created by Baron von Loë, since 1833 master of Burg Wissem, whose cattle grazed on the neighboring Broicher meadows. To cool the milk and make it last longer, he had the Heimbach dammed in the well cellar and stored the milk churns in the dammed water.

The path leads a few meters along the stream. On the way to the Leyenweiher you cross the stream on two planks.
