Puig d'Arques Summit and Viewpoint

Nice panorama from the highest point of Les Gavarres (532 m.). At the top you can find a meteorological radar and a wooden watchtower with fabulous views of the entire massif and the Baix Empordà region.

From its 532 metres of altitude, this viewing point offers a unique panoramic view that stretches from the Pyrenees mountains to the blue waters of the Mediterranean, passing through the vast landscapes of the Empordà and the Costa Brava. On clear days, it is even possible to make out the Medes Islands and the profiles of the Ter and Fluvià valleys.

On windy days, the viewing platform can be a difficult place to stay for more than 15 minutes due to the icy currents, especially in winter, when the cold is most intense. In addition, care must be taken when descending the stairs to the viewing platform, as they can become dangerous due to their steep slope, especially if they are wet or slippery.
