Boucherie Serge Bodson

Since 2023, Huize Bodson has been run by the sons of Serge Bodson, who founded the traditional butcher shop in 1992.The house specialty? Cured and smoked meats. In short: charcuterie and "salaisons," as they are called in French. Think, among other things, of (smoked) hams (with Ardennes ham and smoked Durbuy Cobourg at the forefront), delicious sausages and sausages in the various types and shapes you know and love from the Ardennes: from those small "pipes" you can even devour while walking to whole chains, wild boar, of course, and a range of artisanal preparations with all sorts of added flavors, from beer to blueberries.And the pigs: at Huize Bodson, they come from the Bastogne region.

Butcher shop Bodson is a real household name in Durbuy. Not only because of the pig that beckons through his window at the meat products and has already been captured in thousands of photos of Durbuy, but also because Serge Bodson has been selling the best meat for more than 20 years on the corner of the rue Alphonse Eloy. Bodson's slogan tells it like it is: “Chez Bodson tout est bon, de la queue au grignon”. Freely translated: “Everything is tasty at Bodson, from the tail to the muzzle”.
