At this point you can see the telecommunications tower on the Hohe Brach.
      ---------
The Hohe Brach is 586.9 m above sea level. NHN the highest mountain in the natural region of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Mountains and the Rems-Murr district in Baden-Württemberg. The masculine noun (“der Hohe Brach” or “am Hohe Brach”) is also used by the local population, sometimes even exclusively.

The mountain is located in the sub-natural area of the Mainhardt Forest in the municipality of Großerlach, south of the road between the districts of Erlach and Grab and west of the hamlet of Hohenbrach. Its crest in the surrounding landscape largely formed by the rocks of the Keuper from the geological period of the Triassic, juts out into the younger, overlying Lower Jurassic, of which the Psilonotenton Formation and the Angulatenton Formation are represented here.

On the mountain is the 133 m high Großerlach telecommunications tower for directional radio from Deutsche Funkturm GmbH, which serves as a landmark in the Swabian-Franconian Forest that can be seen from afar. The type tower made of reinforced concrete was erected in 1985 by the then German Federal Post Office and was the tallest building in the Rems-Murr district until the wind turbines of the wind farm on Goldboden near Winterbach were erected.
