Relatively short, but in the upper part quite robust ascent with a lot of views. Almost a bit sunny in summer and also very popular with mopeds. At the Lipple Pass there is a very reliable fountain, which is the best place to fill up your drinking bottles.

Great incline that allows the pulse to be felt and allows the water balance to look forward to the fine spring water at Lipple even more. Road surface good (02/2022), uphill irrelevant, downhill fair to good.

For the most part, you drive on the sunny side, i.e. in cooler phases of the year when the sun is more pleasant, on hotter days there are mainly two sections that offer shade, otherwise the water cooling can be put under a lot of strain.

The route is also ok going down; However, because of the gradient and the many tight bends, you have to brake very often and a lot. Personally, I prefer the ascent and then the descent towards Marzell or further to Kandern, where the brakes are hardly needed.

I drove down it, it's fun! It's a wide, two-lane road, so you don't have to brake as much. Many roads around here are much narrower and have blind curves.
