The Wendentor of Nebelschuetz. Nebelschütz (sorb,: Njebjelcicy - translated: place in heaven) represents the entrance to Sorbian-speaking Lusatia.
February 5, 2022
Replica of the gatehouses that used to be common in the Sorbian villages for the 1896 exhibition of Saxon handicrafts and arts and crafts (with Wendish village) in Dresden, documents Sorbian wood construction handicrafts in a specific design, of architectural and regional importance. The so-called "Wendentor" was acquired after the exhibition by the Leipzig wine merchant Gotthelf Kühne and rebuilt in the Seifersdorf valley near the Grundmühle in Liegau-Augustusbad. The replica of the gatehouses that used to be common in Sorbian villages was moved to Nebelschütz in 2006. Source: dewiki.de
