    This exceptional archaeological site was found by chance in the garden of a family in the city. Their house was built on the edge of an old swamp where hundreds of mammoths long ago got bogged down and then died on the spot.

    You therefore have the opportunity to visit an exceptional excavation site, transformed into a museum. The place besides hundreds of mammoth skeletons, being unearthed also exposes a giant Short-Faced Bear skeleton.

    This animal, living more than 18,000 years ago, was the largest bear ever known. With a length of 3 meters, it could reach almost 4 meters when standing! Next to it the Grizly looks small.
