With its northern slopes hewn from limestone and the rest by Twrch Sandstone, Foel Fraith is a hill of contrasting sides. Its summit is relatively unfrequented and features a broad, grassy plateau that rewards with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. The Beacons Way long-distance trail crosses Foel Fraith on its way between Llanddeusant and Carreg Cennen Castle.
