Lost in the forest stands the monument in honor of Dr. Ing. Bernhard Stürtz (born April 29, 1845 in Eschweiler, + February 13, 1928 in Bonn), a Bonn businessman and committed friend of the Siebengebirge. His grave is in Rhöndorf.

Since 2013, this monument is no longer accessible by official channels and since then heavily feral. The main path, a section of the Rheinsteig, leads elsewhere. From the byway, also no official trail more, the branch is absolutely not visible. You have to beat yourself through the undergrowth of young beech trees, until you finally see the idea of a path and soon the rather large, rocky place in front of you.
