Because of the large lignite deposits that were below Königshoven (old), the place was resettled. About seven kilometers south of the old location, a new place was created, which was also called Königshoven. In 1956, a declaration of liability for the Frimmersdorf-Süd opencast mine was issued, specifying the resettlements of Darshoven, Epprath, Morken-Harff, Tollhaus and Königshoven. In 1969/70 it was decided to relocate the new location to Kaster.
