I am not a local, so no guarantee for my information...
- as far as I know, we are in the Bischofsheim forest
- the picture was taken at Längenbach Lake
- In the direction of Schönbachsmühle, you drive along the Längenbach, which flows quite idyllically and with many curves below the path
- if I remember correctly, this section is also called the 7-Seen-Weg. The brook feeds a lot of small ponds
In any case, you can let off steam here, it's always a long way up or down. And there is always something nice to stare at...

The path to the "Seven Lakes" is a beautiful, quiet valley. Nice to drive and to walk as it goes along with an even gradient. The course of the stream begins at the top of the Bischofsheimer See (highlight) and ends in the valley of the Ebelsbach. Slightly rising forest connecting paths lead up towards the Zeiler chapel mountain. One of these paths leads past/to the Bischofsheimer Forsthaus. An idyllic resting place in the forest. In the 1970s, the Zeiler Whitsun Festival was held here, a tranquil traditional event that unfortunately no longer takes place. What is meant is the forester's lodge in the forest, not the local inn! The way there is also called "French guide". Napoleon is said to have marched east with his troops. The "Sander Franzosen" is also a relic from that time, but that's another topic (wink)! The annual Zeiler Forest Marathon, in late autumn, runs a very long stretch of the Seven Lakes Trail. A must for endurance runners, a very strong and popular event!
