The Pontifical Sanctuary of San Martino di Tours is the mother church of the city of Martina Franca, in the province of Taranto. The basilica, named after Martin of Tours, was built from 1747 to 1785 on a previous Romanesque church. On April 22, 1998, Pope John Paul II. the dignity of a small papal basilica.
