Hiking

The deanal 'Sint-Christoffelkerk' in the center of Evergem dates from 1785-1791. It is a classical building with a tower. After the old church burned down completely in 1783, a new building in the classicist style was built between 1785 and 1790. Later it had to be restored twice (1926-1927 and 1959-1960) due to war damage. The furniture is 19th-20th century. The interior was given a suitable paint job in 1958-1960.
