Narrow and partly bumpy (08/2019) small forest road with some steep slope - but you will be rewarded with a magnificent view and it rolls pleasantly through the orchards above Basel - to cherry and apple blossom time especially recommended.

More beautiful, steep, ascent with little and only slow traffic, from the Ermitage to the Schönmatt and via the tunnel houses on to Gempen. Ideal on Sunday when "hell" is going on on Gempenstrasse.
