In 1173, the castle is mentioned for the first time under the name "Chaffenberch". Today you can look at various exhibitions in the castle on the Kapfenberg. It is also located on the grounds of a falconry that regularly shows flight demonstrations. From the beginning of April to the end of October, you can watch the birds of prey from Wednesday to Sunday at 11am and at 3pm.
