In 1902, both places were given a stop at Neukirchen-Wyhra in Neukirchen on the Neukieritzsch–Chemnitz railway, which opened in 1872. This was elevated to a station in 1937 with the opening of the Borna–Großbothen railway line. The latter route was dismantled as early as 1947 as reparations.
