The approximately 9.5 hectare dishwashing island is located north-west of the city island. The town's campsite with 100 pitches and the Havelberger Insel Touristik GmbH are located here.
This island was created between 1933 and 1936 from the overburden from the construction of the new lock between the Havel and the Elbe in the Elbe connecting canal.
But only in 1954 was it allowed to enter the island. A bridge was not built until 1968 during an exercise by NVA pioneers
The sink island is now connected to the surrounding area from the north by a road bridge. In the southeast, the Havelstegbrücke - a pedestrian bridge - leads here from the city island.goruma.de/staedte/havelberg/wandern
