Never walk the steep path down to the Hörne without sticks. Older people should consistently avoid it!

It's a very, very steep climb.
The subsoil consists of stones, rubble and roots that you can pull yourself up on. Very difficult to walk, especially when there are a lot of leaves on the ground. It is then very smooth and slippery. You can't see where you're stepping.
Extremely dangerous in wet weather and I would not go up or down there.
Actually, next time I would do without this part and prefer it
go the route X5H. It curves up to the Hohestein.

I agree with the previous speakers - very challenging section, very steep and requires poles or the use of hands even when going uphill. Fitness and surefootedness are essential. Very slippery when wet, even without leaves.
We made it up safely, but we would definitely not go/slide down because the 'impact point' in the event of a fall is not controllable.
