The parish church of St. Magnus with the magnificently carved choir stalls by Georg Anton Machein (1717) was built around the year 1185 as a late Romanesque pillar basilica and constantly adapted to the stylistic epochs of the centuries.
The choir stalls (1715 - 1717) from the Überlinger workshop of G. A. Machein contains depictions of the irrational flora and fauna and the mysterious realm of vices and demons. Statues of saints are reminiscent of male and female religious founders. The back wall shows Bible reliefs in which figures of the Old and New Testaments are embodied.

St. Magnus is one of the largest preserved late Romanesque churches in Upper Swabia. Modernizations in the 15th and 18th centuries mark the heyday in the history of the monastery.
