Monteviasco
The village is located at an altitude of almost 1000 meters in the Varesine Pre-Alps, in the immediate hinterland of Lake Maggiore. Inaccessible to cars, it can only be reached via 1,400 steps or a cable car. Built entirely of local stone, from the streets to the roofs of the houses, it is a place where time stands still and where the past becomes present.
