Compared to other old Jewish cemeteries, the one at Twistringen is very well-kept and a historical gem. This includes the entrance gate decorated with a Star of David. The cemetery dates back to the first half of the 18th century - it was first mentioned in 1739. About 50 graves are still recognizable. The tombstones are in good condition and, as usual, mostly in Hebrew script.
