Walking through the internal cobblestone streets, which have remained in the medieval style, memory goes back to the past and it is possible to still feel the presence of Matilde di Canossa. In fact, a strategically important castle stood here, so much so that in 1298, representatives of Monte Acuto had to be present at the signing of the peace treaty between Bologna and Pistoia.
