The oldest fully preserved building in the city is the Gothic "Old Chapel" next to the town hall on Kapellenstrasse in the Mülheim district. According to documents, it was built between 1313 and 1318. In 1962, a carillon was installed in the 17th-century roof turret with its baroque hood, which plays folk melodies every hour.
