The Basilica Santa Maria della Purificazione is one of the most important monuments of Molise. Built on the remains of a pagan temple, it has an Apulian Romanesque style and can be visited and open to all. It is located in Piazza Duomo, a large square among the narrow alleys of the ancient village of Termoli.
