Hiking
The early 13th century church of Ulrum was probably dedicated to Saint Catherine. With the reduction of Groningen, the originally Catholic Church was transferred to the Reformed. There were once wall and vault paintings in the church, which unfortunately were lost during the restoration of 1916. This church is inextricably linked to Rev. Hendrik de Cock. From this church he started the Secession of 1834.
