Every year we look forward to the ‘First Date with Erica’.

This year, ‘2024’ we chose a meeting with Erica in the Dutch nature reserve De Malpie. During our experience, changing cloud formations provide a different lighting each time. The contrasts of gray clouds, the orange sunlight that stands out in the blue sky ensure that the purple hills of Erica are a feast for the eyes.

Just relax on the winding hiking trails and enjoy the beauty of Erica that stretches between the Scots pines and the many heathland fens. While alert hungry herons look for their evening meal, many croaking frogs provide a panicky soundscape in this special nature reserve.

A must for those who are content with a lot of beauty and few kilometers.
