n the eastern part of the Lattengebirge, the striking Rotofen towers rise out of the forest and form a rugged contrast to the otherwise rather lovely landscape of the Lattengebirge. The three rotary kiln towers form a silhouette reminiscent of a woman lying on her back. This is how the Rotofen got its nickname Sleeping Witch. The witch with her distinctive nose and bosom can be seen both from Bischofswiesen in the south-east and from Bayerisch Gmain in Reichenhaller Beckem in the north-west.
