Sille, a former Greco-Turkish village, is known for its St. Helena Church. As early as the year 327 there is said to have been a church in the village, which was built by Helena, mother of Constantine the Great, on her pilgrimage to Jerusalem. The current church building dates from 1833. The icons are donations from former Sille Greeks.
