Good for family walks also. Dogs must be kept on a lead. The walks are for all skills.

From cycle perspective is for beginners.

Be careful as there are families enjoying walks with dogs. It is an outdoor education site with horses, donkeys, goats and sheep. So their situational awareness might be low.

The stable area is forbidden to cycle in parts. Best to dismount.

Komoot is not showing the alternative gravel route at the stables which loops round and allows you to join the gravel path on the ribeira dos marmeleiros/ Trilho das Vinhas or to Atrozela. The increment is kinder.

Pisão is an Alternative to Connect to trails in Serra Sintra and Cascais/Estoril avoiding main roads. From/for Cascais you come/head from the ribeira dos marmeleiros. From/for estoril you want to join the estoril ciclovia via alcabideche using the Atrozela exit. There is also some other alternatives to get to estoril from Alcabideche.

Hikers can catch buses from Alcabideche to head for Cascais, Sintra or Estoril. Hikers also can walk the Trilho das Vinhas to come/head from/for Cascais.

Coming from barragem da Mula you have the choice to go counter or clockwise. The difference is the quality of path and increment.

From Pisão there is way to join Vale dos cavalos avoiding the main roads but only on foot or mountain bike.

Avoid going through Pisão do baixo out of respect as it is a Social Security recovery centre. There is alternative routes which allow to join the Trilho das vinhas/ ribeira dos marmeleiros.

The road from Malveira to Alcabideche just before Pisão do baixo and after has blind spots round bendy corners with increment. You will find large vehicles in the middle of the road. Best to avoid.
