⛵ Uferweg um den Untreusee

The "Untreusee" recreation area is located in the south of the town of Hof. Although man-made, the lake blends into the soft, hilly landscape as if nature itself had created it. A Dorado for swimmers, sailors, surfers and anglers, but also for walkers and people who are simply looking for peace and quiet.
The lake, around 2 kilometers long and 700 meters wide, on which almost all water sports are permitted with the exception of driving motorboats, has an area of 600,000 square meters in summer with normal traffic jams. The water depth at the man-made, 300-meter-long dam is about 15 meters.
In the southern area of the lake, delimited by 4 pedestrian bridges, an important biotope of interest to nature lovers was created when the Untreubach flows into it.

Around the whole lake there is always the possibility to take a break with a wide variety of seating. Whether sun loungers (rotatable, depending on the position of the sun), benches or a wooden sun terrace right on the water, there is something for everyone.
